I'm still totally shocked we are having a boy!! I didn't think I was destined for a boy, but here we are... and I'm so excited! He is actually moving around while I am sitting here typing... kicking me and dragging an elbow, foot or bottom across my stomach as he gets comfy... such a strange feeling, but so special too!
Although I have maintained exercise and eating well, I have lost muscle and definitely don't feel as 'tight and toned' as before... but hey, who does while pregnant? I wont lie and say it's easy to roll with it and LOVE every bit of your changing body - but compared to my last pregnancy I feel a lot calmer with the process (which is a welcome feeling). I guess I also know that I can get it all back in no time too and I am much better prepared!
I haven't bought anything except for 2 onesies so far from Bonds - I can't believe that actually! There are so many incredibly cute things out there for boys these days too. I'm sure the other half doesn't mind my restraint though! ha ha
Luckily I still have the car seat capsule from Chicco where it can click in & out - so that makes transporting a sleeping baby super easy (and saves a good $400 on a new one too!) I then found a pram that is compatible with this carseat - a 3-wheeler - so I can get back to my walks as soon as possible and hopefully get into some light running again too once given the all clear - being outside has to be one of the best things for a new Mummy. Something I did no where near enough with my first! It's great to get some fresh air for the both of you & helps you to feel more 'normal' quicker too - even though you're surviving on 6 hours broken sleep every night!
So my question to all those amazing mummies out there is this, what did you find different about your second pregnancies? I would love to know. Because I am finding it TOTALLY different from the first in many ways.
I will update again by week 28, so until then, stay happy & healthy :)
